This Moroccan-meets-mid-century-modern feel is expressed in a minimalist environment, home to a beautifully renovated 1920s Bauhaus building. Benefiting from a relaxing ambience, flooded with light from all angles of sunshine. Close to all of the beaches along the stretch, take the seven-minute stroll down to Trumpeldor Beach for a walk in the sun and a splash in the sea before heading to the buzzing Carmel Market – wander through the vibrant marketplace to check out clothing, spices, and fruit – a fascinating insight into Tel Aviv's culture, making Carmel Market a favourite for locals and tourists alike. Venture through the streets until you reach Neve Tzedek – one of Tel Aviv's oldest neighbourhoods, but still young at heart, and a welcome reprieve from the city's bustle. As you navigate your way through the colourful structure with twisting alleys, keep an eye out for local Israeli cuisine.

Local guide

About Kerem Hateimanim

Nestled in between the Carmel Market and the beach, you'll find Kerem Hateimanim, a small neighbourhood founded by Yemeni immigrants in the 1930s. It’s come a long way since then, and today it’s been taken over by bohemian Tel-Avivians looking for affordable housing. Even though Kerem Hateimanim is in the process of being gentrified, the neighbourhood hasn’t lost the authentic, village-like feel that’s beloved by many. There are still plenty of the original Yemenite restaurants around, which are worth a visit, even if you don’t end up staying in this part of the city.
