Vetted by our experts
This bijou apartment feels very hi-tech. All the electrics are controlled through a single system, with a few highlights like the sensor-controlled lights and superfast Wifi – all of this in a pretty building from the 1920s. Patches of exposed brickwork inside lend an industrial-chic feel and the wooden ceiling is a nod to the past. Furnishings are understated and neutral-toned, allowing a mellow feel. You've got plenty of space in the bedroom, especially when you open up the door to the little balcony. You're in central Milan here, a twenty-minute walk from the central station (and central market just outside it). It's also a twenty-five-minute walk to the historic sights of the Duomo and Teatro alla Scala. Or, you could hop on the metro at Porta Venezia just outside your door.

Staying in Corso Buenos Aires
Corso Buenos Aires is the "high street" shopping area of Milan. This is not the place for super high-end brands (go to Quadrilatero if that's what you're after) - it's more Zara, H&M, Boggi, where you go to get your fast-fashion fix. It's perhaps not the most exciting area of the city, but it's still nice, and it's not a long journey into the more quaint parts of the historical centre.

Your host MARIA TERESA
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay.
While in the past Maria Teresa was a fashion photographer's agent (and you can tell that she has an eye for design), she’s now an English teacher, and is as meticulous in the care of the flat as she is in policing verbs. Her husband is an electronic engineer, and worked on all the technology in the home.
