Ideally located in the Porta Venezia district of Milan, close to so many of the city's historic spots as well as fancy restaurants and friendly bars, this home makes a fantastic base for a city break. Inside is smart and stylish, with contemporary artwork and bold colours that give the apartment lots of character. We love the mini library, ideal for grabbing a book from for relaxing on a lazy afternoon – and the Juliet balcony in the bedroom gives a lovely view over the surrounding neighbourhood. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but you'll have the pick of Milan's best restaurants right on your doorstep.

Parking in Milan can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible.
The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.
The kitchen here is pretty small. We think it's better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
