Tucked into the trees just one block from the Pacific, this coastal house in Arch Cape has the kind of unhurried feel that's hard to manufacture. A deck runs the full length of the upper floor, where you can hear the ocean over morning coffee. Inside, a river rock gas fireplace anchors a bright living area with high ceilings and large windows. When the beach calls, an enchanting tree-lined path leads directly to a two-mile stretch of uncrowded sand – and it's just a short walk back for a barbecue in the landscaped yard.

At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
The three lower-level bedrooms share only a half bathroom (toilet and sink). If you're booking with a larger group, factor in morning bathroom queues, as there is no shower or tub on the lower level for those three rooms.
Wi-fi and mobile signal on the Oregon Coast can be limited and may drop at times – worth bearing in mind if you're planning to work remotely or stay connected during your visit.
