Within walking distance of Windansea Beach, this mid-century house in La Jolla is as well-located as it is well-appointed. Clean architectural lines, vaulted ceilings, and a courtyard pool terrace set the tone – days here drift easily between the water and the sun lounger. Come evening, the fire pit draws everyone outside, and the rooftop deck is the place to be when the sky turns orange over the Pacific. Windansea Beach and La Jolla Shores are a short stroll away, along with a stretch of good restaurants to sample during your stay.

Since the photoshoot, the backyard has been updated, so the layout may look a little different to the photos.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair. Ask in advance to make sure everything is ready on arrival.
The villa sits on a busy road, so you may notice some traffic noise, particularly facing the street. It's worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper.
The pool can only be heated between 4pm and 9pm due to the La Jolla noise ordinance, so plan your evenings accordingly. During winter months, the pool may take longer to reach temperature. The waterfall feature on the spa is also not in use.
If you're driving, there's space for up to three cars – one in the garage and two on the driveway. Limited street parking is also nearby, but avoid the alleyway.
Landscaping takes place on Tuesdays between 9am and 1pm, so if you're planning a quiet morning in the garden that day, it's worth factoring in.
