Tucked into the Tennessee hills, this cabin earns its mountain retreat credentials quickly. Vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace anchor the main living area, while huge windows keep the surrounding woodland in constant view – from the living room, the dining area, and the lofted perch above that comes into its own when snow settles on the trees. Multiple decks and a front porch with rocking chairs give you plenty of spots to breathe it all in, and a private hot tub and sauna mean the end of a long hike is well taken care of. Downtown Gatlinburg is a fifteen-minute drive.

While two of the bathrooms aren't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
At full occupancy, you'll need to make use of two rollaway beds here. We think they're best suited to children.
There's free parking for up to three cars on the driveway. The driveway is narrow and steep with no turnaround area, so vehicles must back in or out. A rope fence – rather than a solid barrier – runs along the edge, so take it slowly.
The gas fireplace is switched off between 15th April and 15th October, so if a crackling fire is part of your plans, aim for a late autumn or winter visit.
The lead guest must be at least 21 years old.
