Home truths
We recommend hiring a car for ease of getting around. There's free parking for up to two cars on the driveway.
The interior and exterior stairs are steep and have no handrails, which could be tricky for young children or anyone with limited mobility. Bear that in mind when putting together your group.
The deck, barbecue, and all outdoor furniture are only set up from Memorial Day through Labor Day – if you're visiting outside those dates, the outdoor spaces won't be fully equipped.
Due to strict local wildfire regulations, any outdoor wood-burning fires – including fire pits and charcoal grills – are prohibited. Stick to the gas barbecue and indoor fireplace.
Just so you know, there's no air conditioning here.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can arrange a cot, high chair, and baby gear through the concierge service. It's worth requesting these ahead of your arrival to make sure everything is ready when you get there.
