A curved pool wrapped in the shade of mature trees is the centrepiece of this nine-bedroom house on Sullivan's Island, with a year-round hot tub alongside for evenings when the air cools. Inside, the high-ceilinged living and dining area is built for groups – seat ten around the farmhouse table, light the fire, then drift to the games room for a round of pool. Fort Moultrie and the wild barrier island shores are close by, making it easy to fill days with history, beach walks, or kayaking before returning to the deck as the sun drops below the treeline.
