Ski-in/ski-out access with a chairlift right beside the house – that's a rare thing to find in Telluride, and when the lift is running, the slopes are essentially your front garden. After a day on the mountain, the top-floor living room offers a warm welcome – vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and a private balcony framing the mountain and ski slope views. A shared hot tub in the complex overlooks the ski area, and the home sits on the free in-town bus route, putting the rest of Telluride – including the River Trail and Valley Floor – easily within reach.

Home truths

  • The loft's two twin beds are reached via steep wall-mounted steps and aren't suitable for young children, so bear that in mind when planning who sleeps where.

  • At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the futon in the living area.

  • If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot and high chair on request – make sure to ask in advance so everything is ready on arrival.

  • There's no air conditioning here, so summer stays can get warm.

  • Ski-in/ski-out access depends on Lift #7 being open, so if you're visiting during shoulder season or an early or late snow window, it's worth checking lift status before you travel.

  • If you're bringing a larger vehicle, note that the garage entrance is 6'6" tall and 7'6" wide – a taller SUV or truck may not fit, so factor that in when planning your transport.

  • As a ski town, many construction projects happen around town all summer. Working hours are 8am to 7pm.

Local guide

About Telluride

The Rocky Mountains provide some of the best skiing opportunities not just in North America, but in the world, and nowhere is that more obvious than Colorado. And in the summer, the hiking trails can provide just as much activity. Aside from the outdoor activities, Telluride is a great place to experience the charm of the Old West. It has a more casual, unfussy vibe than more famous spots like Aspen, but there are still plenty of elegant dining and drinking options. A must-try is the New Sheridan Historic Bar, which dates back to 1895.
