Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Despite the views of historic London buildings, Urban Rush feels thoroughly modern. The design lacks some character, and we found that it made for a slightly impersonal atmosphere. However, the strong wi-fi, soundproofed windows, and desk space would make this a convenient option for business travellers. We were charmed by the stunning views of the City and Westminster Palace that you get from the bedrooms and balcony. Though the surrounding neighbourhood isn’t particularly lively, it’s a very convenient spot, with Vauxhall and Westminster close by.

About Lambeth
Lambeth is an unpretentious and centrally located part of town, located on the south side of the Thames, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. It's home to the Imperial War Museum and though it's got its own historic palace, Lambeth isn't a grand area. It's a good place to experience real London though and works well as a base for exploring Westminster and the famous cultural hotspot of the nearby South Bank.

History class at the Imperial War Museum
If everyone is old enough this is a fun way to learn about modern British history. Recently refurbished and with a lovely Cafe, it is one of the most popular museums in town.

Go to an exhibition at Tate Britain
Discover one of the largest British art collections in the world in this beautiful building. Get involved with light and shade at the Turner Wing.

Grab a pint and a bite at the Black Dog Pub
This bustling corner pub has all you need in a local: great food, proper beers and a lively atmosphere. Reservations recommended, especially for their understandably popular Sunday Roast.

Get down with a Dirty Burger
With burgers as sloppy as the name suggests, DB have earned a name for themselves for producing juicy, loaded-with-flavour burgers served up from the arches beneath Vauxhall’s railway tracks.

Escape the city at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens
Once Victorian ‘Spring Gardens’, the Pleasure Gardens today play host to a busy calendar of events from outdoor movie screenings to colourful lights shows. Great for a quiet picnic away from the city.

Enjoy a drink on the river at Tamesis Dock
Views to match any in London, but in the least pretentious setting. This river side barge bar is the perfect spot for a summer sundowner while watching Big Ben turn its lights on across the river.

Explore at Newport Street Gallery
With free entry and set in a Victorian warehouse, this showcase of the British art giant’s private collection gives the public a chance to explore guest exhibitions and classic modern art.

Discover the exhibitions at the Garden Museum
Set within the restored church of St Mary’s, burial place of the first great British gardener and plant-hunter, John Tradescant, this is historically significant, lush spot to visit.

Order tea and cakes at the tea house theatre
This quaint tearoom is set in an old Victorian pub overlooking the Pleasure Gardens. They serve English breakfasts, cakes and loose-leaf tea, but don't dare to ask for coffee.

Grab a drink with a view at The Rose
Set yourself down for a meal and a pint alongside views of the River Thames at this traditional Victorian pub in the heart of Vauxhall.

Experience Cricket at The Oval
Immerse yourself in the history of Surrey Cricket Club at The Oval, take a guided tour to see the Pavilion, changing rooms, and the boundary. Enjoy a day of great cricket and entertainment.
