A pair of picture-perfect Cotswolds cottages stand side-by-side – perfect for friends or big families getting together. These honey-hued twin homes date back to the 1810s and embrace that chocolate box idyll. Both cottagey living rooms have wood-burning stoves for cosy evenings in and both full kitchens can cover evenings when you’re not down Brockhampton’s local pub (a few metres away). Plus, you’ve got two back gardens for drinks and barbecues outside. As with most old country homes, the staircases are a little steep and creaky, but we think this adds to the atmosphere.

Home truths

This home is a pair of cottages standing side-by-side, each with its own kitchen and living room.

All of the bedrooms are upstairs, so this place may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The staircases are narrow and can be creaky.

Your host provides starter kindling and logs for the stoves and you can stock up locally.

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and provide your own linen for the cot.

In a fairly remote location, having a car is recommended and there are three parking spaces with this home.

This home does not allow groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 25, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen parties.
