This colourful apartment in the heart of Venice is ideal for sharing among couples. Its interior is a tad dated, yet charming, and worth noting is that it’s located on the second floor with steps only. Having said that – we’re sure you’ll be busy sightseeing in a city as unique as this one, with some of its most famous landmarks, such as San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge, within walking distance. Looking to accommodate a larger group? There are two more apartments in this building which you can try to rent out.

Home truths

Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos.

Expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.

There's no lift here. You'll need to climb stairs to reach the home's entrance on the second floor.

The traditional decor might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.

The compact kitchen isn't the biggest, but there are fantastic restaurants nearby.

The second bedroom lacks wardrobe space, so we'd recommend packing light. There also isn't a washing machine here.

Parking in Venice can be tricky, so we recommend using public transport, water taxis and exploring on foot.

About San Marco

San Marco is probably the most well-known of Venice’s main districts, and the most popular among tourists. It’s packed with monuments – it has spectacular palaces and churches, and consistently beautiful Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The central square is, unsurprisingly, an important tourist hub. A lot of the luxury hotels are around here, so it’s not necessarily the place to find authentic, family-run restaurants or cafes. This area’s known for...
