Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

From the exposed brick wall to the typically-soaped wooden floor, the bioethanol fireplace to the gigantic hanging lightbulb, this place manages to effortlessly pull off a great industrial-chic look. Opening the French doors from the bedroom to the balcony, you get a real sense of space and plenty of natural light. If you feel like venturing out, it takes less than twenty minutes to reach the city centre. In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom is very small – it's not the kind of place you can relax and unwind after a long day.

Home truths

The storage space for guests to unpack their luggage isn't as generous as we would like it to be

We'll admit we have overly high toiletry standards but complementary ones provided here were under par

The bathroom is very small – it's the kind of place where the room doubles as a shower

Access to the home is by stairs only – be prepared for some of lugging of suitcases up stairs on arrival

It's located in a more of a residential neighbourhood

About Carlsberg Byen

Found on the former site of Carlsberg brewery, it’s no wonder how Carlsberg Byen got its name. All production has now ceased and moved to a different part of Denmark, but many of the old buildings still stand and provide a historic antithesis to the many modern buildings that are cropping up all over. Some of the historic buildings are being repurposed, like TAP1, a former bottling plant turned event...
