Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

The combination of materials like the curved high ceilings with exposed brickwork, the micro-cement flooring and the large matte kitchen countertop give Arnau an elegant industrial feel. Although there's a noticeable lack of natural light in the bedrooms and bathrooms, the open-plan communal area more than makes up for such shortcomings. The sofa isn't the comfiest we've tested but, draped with luxurious textiles, it still adds to the home vibe. And, as the centre of the city is just eight minutes away by public transport, it's a great choice for bus families.

Home truths

Although there's a lift to take you to reach the second floor, you'll still need to climb a total of seven steps to reach the apartment – not suitable for wheelchair users

Although there is a fire alarm, without a fire extinguisher, fire blankets or first aid kit, this apartment does not score high in terms of safety

Some of the walls in the kitchen area have noticeable scuff marks

The lighting options are very limited in the second smaller bedroom

With no doors from the bedrooms each of the bathrooms, there's very little privacy for more intimate moments

As Sagrada Familia neighbourhood is fairly quiet at night with not much going on, those looking for lively nights out should look to stay closer to the city centre

About Sagrada Família

La Sagrada Família is the neighbourhood immediately surrounding Barcelona’s greatest and largest attraction - the Sagrada Família. As Gaudí’s opus magnum, the architectural behemoth has been in construction for over a century, and some say asking when will it be finished is the easiest way to anger a local. The immediate vicinity of the cathedral is always busy, but the rest of the area is upscale and residential, making it quieter than one would expect. The vast avenues are home to a variety of cafes, shops, and beautifully designed parks.
