This home is perfect for couples who crave a slice of the city's action. Situated on historic Ronda Universitat, it has excellent views of the street which you can enjoy from the sunny alcove over a morning coffee or evening drink. The home still manages to feel relaxing though, with stand out features like the beautiful white stone kitchen countertop, the pristine wooden flooring and traditional shutters. You'll find all the basics needed for cooking are already here, and there is a juicer and Nespresso machine to make mornings a delight. Downstairs, the surrounding Eixample neighbourhood is famous for its geometrical layout and is brimming with great restaurants, bars, and independent boutiques. It's just a four-minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya, and the Gothic Quarter is less than fifteen minutes away, where you'll find charming winding streets and plenty of history.

As it's literally on Ronda de la Universitat, a major thoroughfare of the city centre, traffic noise is audible – those looking for a more peaceful stay should look a little further afield, and outside of the city centre
When we visited, the wi-fi connection is not as fast as we would ideally like it to be
The bedroom's windows do not face onto the street – this makes it quieter but you don't get the city views
