Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Amid the rugged mountains and unspoilt countryside of the Alcornocales National Park, this home is a rustic hideaway with breathtaking views. It’s also wonderfully remote and private, making this the ideal opportunity to switch off, relax in the garden and immerse yourself in the saltwater swimming pool – which can also be fenced upon request (a great option for those travelling with children). Inside, the rooms are traditional and a little dated, but filled with charm and character. For adventures further afield, it’s just 12 kilometres to the pretty pueblo of El Bosque, and a little further on to Arcos de la Frontera (thirty-minutes away).

Home truths

While not all of the bathrooms are photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.

Due to this home's location, we recommend having a car to get the most out of your stay.

If you’re travelling with children, the swimming pool can be fenced on request.

Please note this is a protected area of natural beauty and barbecue bans are enforced from early June – an electric 'plancha' will be provided during the summer season.

You won't find a welcome hamper or basic essentials here, so we'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started.

The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.

About Spain

Sultry summer nights pulsing with flamenco, tapas bars in buzzing cities, a rugged interior, and a sparkling coast dotted with sandy beaches. This is Spain. Madrid, right in the heart of the country, is packed with museums and galleries, none more famous than the sprawling Prado. Gaudi’s canvas, Barcelona, is a city of spellbinding architecture like a lucid dream, and winding gothic streets rammed with wine bars. Foodies flock to...
