Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This apartment is perfect for a small family in town to sightsee. After all, you'll find Puerta del Sol, the buzzing Gran Vía, and many more of Madrid's landmarks within walking distance – not to mention transport links and a slew of fabulous eateries. While the apartment isn't the most exciting in our collection, we love the wooden beams and Juliet balconies. Although there's nowhere to sit, they add a quintessentially-Spanish touch to the otherwise modern design. The bedrooms are connected with pocket doors, and earplugs are a must if you're a light sleeper – this is in the heart of the city, so street noise is a given.

Home truths

The bedrooms are connected with sliding pocket doors, but there's still plenty of privacy. As the second bedroom has a trundle bed, we think this home is better for families with younger children.

The balconies are Juliet-style, so they’re very small with nowhere to sit.

If you're travelling for work, you'll find a dedicated desk in the second bedroom.

Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.

Parking in Madrid can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. You likely won't need a car to get around.

About Puerta del Sol

Puerta del Sol is the epicentre of the city and home to Madrid’s most famous meeting point – ‘Oso y El Madroño’, the bear with the strawberry tree. The central square of this neighbourhood is quite literally where all the roads in the Iberian peninsula lead to, which means it’s really hard to get lost if this is where you want to go. This area is popular both day and night, with buskers, natives, and tourists snapping photos of some of Madrid’s most iconic sights.
