Perched on the edge of Blickling Hall Estate and fringing the chocolate-box village of Oulton, the setting for this adult-only hideaway is dreamy. All the cottagecore essentials are ticked off with original beams, a wood-burning stove, and a pretty, south-facing garden to call your own. Although it’s worth noting the home’s low beams and restricted head height might not suit the vertically blessed. With no amenities within walking distance, you’ll need a car here. Head to Holt for a dose of sea air (a twenty-minute drive). Or, closer to home, nearby Aylsham for a taste of market town life.

Home truths

    This is an adults-only home.

Due to this home's rural location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay, and there is off-road parking within a gated driveway.

Due to the steep staircase, this home may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. There are also low door frames on the ground floor and low beams with restricted height on the bedroom mezzanine.

The kitchen is compact and better suited to lighter bites than large meals.

Although this home has two bedrooms, due to its size, it's only suitable for two guests.

It’s worth noting the bathroom only has a hand-held shower fixture, which might not suit everyone.

There is a shed for bike storage if you plan to bring your bikes along.

A host of refined hotels and homes make this an elegant place to stay. Cromer is particularly famous for its sweet-tasting Cromer crab, which can be found in cafes and restaurants around town, but the so-called gem of the...
