Built in 1865, this romantic spot features panoramic views of the Shropshire countryside and Welsh borders. Offering a unique stay, as it's not every day you get to stay in an old fort tower, the best view in the house is from the rooftop terrace or the top-floor sitting room. With a wood-burning stove creating a cosy atmosphere, it's the perfect place to retreat to after country walks on the estate. The estate boasts 1,000 acres of parkland and is home to other historic holiday rentals too. Since there's a restaurant on-site, you needn't have to lift a finger while staying here. Plus, you'll find plenty of activities for guests to enjoy, including fishing, tennis courts and woodland adventure playgrounds.
