This rustic retreat is nestled between the Pennines and the Lake District where it offers idyllic views and a wonderful sense of peace. Consisting of a traditional farmhouse and adjoining cottage, guests can enjoy cosy rooms, wood-burning fires and a snooker table along with a range of extra services – including hot tub hire and catering (available on request). It’s also child-friendly with plenty to explore in the surroundings. From here, it’s just a short walk to Melmerby (with a great local pub), while Ullswater Lake is within easy driving distance.

There is private parking for four cars here.
The farmhouse and cottage are located within the grounds of a working farm – there is also a neighbouring home which can be booked for larger groups. Speak to your host for more information.
The farmhouse consists of six double bedrooms while the cottage has one double bedroom. It may also be possible to arrange some of the zip and link beds as two singles upon request.
Please note that the Wifi connection is not suitable for business use.
If you’re travelling with children, your host can provide two travel cots, three highchairs and two stair gates on request.
There is a welcome hamper included in your stay. Logs, kindling and charcoal are also provided.
