Its privileged location means you can enjoy the best of both worlds – culture and coffee in Chiado during the day and numerous clubs and bars in Baixa by night. Back inside, the interior gets its design cues from the sophisticated surroundings, seamlessly blending modern furnishings with antique pieces striking a balance so that the home avoids feeling either too clinical or like a museum. Chiado is full of old-world charm, and is one of the best-loved parts of Lisbon. Think pastel-hued homes, cobbled streets and plenty of squares to soak up the atmosphere. There’s a slower pace of life in Chiado, which is why it’s so popular with locals.
