Located within a sprawling Grade II-listed manor house, this pet-friendly apartment is a perfect retreat for two. Timber beams adorn the ceiling, a wood-burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the living area, and a hamper filled with estate-grown produce and vouchers to a nearby Michelin Star restaurant await upon arrival. The design is a little dated – particularly the bathrooms – but that's no bother, as the setting is second to none. You'll have access to 36 acres of shared gardens and parklands at your disposal, not to mention views of the picturesque Scottish Hills on your doorstep. The Lake District is about 25 miles away if you plan to venture further afield.
