Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This home in the Sussex village of Westmeston may be pocket-sized, but it sure does pack in all the essentials – and a few luxuries. A perfect couple’s retreat, there’s a private hot tub in the secluded southwest-facing garden and underfloor heating to keep things toasty in the winter months. We think the compact kitchen is better suited to rustling up brunch and light bites but with two village pubs within walking distance, we don’t think you’ll mind. Set at the foot of the South Downs, it’s a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside. After a little more buzz? Hedonistic Brighton is just a thirty-minute drive away.

Woolf and her Bloomsbury group of intellects often escaped to the unspoilt beauty of Sussex (Charleston) in pursuit of creative inspiration, with Woolf herself residing in Monk’s House until her husband's death. James, Blake and Constable would also peer over the...
