A stay in The Broads delivers more than just stunning scenery – with watersports, boating, cycling and birdwatching at your fingertips, all you need is a good base to enjoy them from. This rural home in Ludham is a little traditional, and you won’t find any modern features here, though it’s a comfortable and cosy space to return to at the end of a day at Horsey Gap Beach. The garden allows you to make the most of the sunshine, and while the fireplace is only decorative, the living room is a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine.

Home truths
We suggest hiring a car for ease – there's parking for two cars on the driveway and additional parking off-road on the grass verge.
As there are stairs to climb here, it might not be the best option for those with limited mobility.
We think the designs here are a little dated but perfectly comfortable and inviting. You may see some signs of slight wear and tear here.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and bring your own cot linen.
The fourth bedroom is accessed via a ship's ladder in the snug which may not suit all guests.
We'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started. The nearest supermarket is 1 mile away.

Spend your time in The Broads paddling along the navigable waterways, spotting the traditional windmills that...
