Inside, two cosy lounges offer space for both grown-ups and youngsters to unwind – one even has a collection of board games, DVDs, and an XBOX 360 for rainy days. Head outside and you'll find a sunny garden overlooking the Cheviot Hills – perfect for pups and kids to let loose. A ten-minute drive away is Bamburgh Castle, making this an ideal spot to explore the Northumberland Coast.

Two well-behaved, non-shedding dogs are welcome to join you for £25 each per week. They aren't allowed to be left unattended and they must stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. Your host can also arrange dog duvets, crates, and dog beds for an additional fee.
