Nestled down an alleyway in Whitby’s historic old town, this home transports you back to another time. While its traditional style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it maintains its charm with a whole host of original features – taller guests may just want to watch their heads, as there are a few areas where ceiling height is a little restricted. Despite its old bones, this home is filled with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and from its position in the heart of town, you’ll find a great selection of eateries, independent shops and the coast on your doorstep.

Home truths
There are stairs to climb in this four-storey home. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility or for small children. If you are travelling with little ones, however, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
Your host can provide a parking permit for on-street parking in the W zone.
There is no door to the top-floor bedroom, which leads to an annexe bedroom with a single bed. The annexe bedroom is quite small with limited storage space. However, it has everything you need for a comfortable night's sleep.
There is restricted head height as you enter through the front door, and limited head height on the upper floors. It might not be suitable for taller guests.
