4.74 host score

This charming four-storey cottage is the perfect escape for families and friends seeking a quiet getaway to Dartmouth. The roomy kitchen and cosy lounge are ideal for spending quality time together – we suggest lighting the fire on cooler nights. While there’s no parking directly outside, your host provides a permit to park in town. That said, you'll do most exploring on foot, as you're only a short stroll from Dartmouth’s harbour, coffee shops and seafood eateries. There's also no shortage of activities to enjoy, from relaxing coastal walks to beach days and boat trips.

Home truths

This home is spread over four floors – it's unlikely to suit infants or toddlers. The kitchen and living area are on the ground and first floor, while the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third levels.

We suggest having a car to make the most of your stay. Your host provides an annual parking permit for the town car park, which works on a first-come, first-served basis. During Regatta weeks, this car park is closed but the permit is valid in the local Park & Ride.

The decor here is on the simpler side. We've let this one into the collection on account of its great location.

The second-floor shower room used to be a cupboard and is very small. It also doesn't have a WC.

In the town's narrow, winding streets, a mix of retirees, families, and sailing enthusiasts mingles with tourists, particularly in the summer. Each year during the Regatta, the town's population more...
