This cosy barn conversion is set on a working farm in Rowen, North Wales (there's another cottage and a small campsite here). There’s a private walled garden and patio area with a barbecue for alfresco lunches when the Welsh sun shines, while inside there’s a log burner for when it turns cold. This place is ideal for couples looking to explore Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coast. It’s just 200 yards from the village pub and within 5 miles of numerous attractions such as Surf Snowdonia and the walled castle town of Conwy – a World Heritage Site.

On the other side of town, Morfa Beach boasts a long stretch of soft sand for sunny days and blustery winter walks. The town is home to attractions great and small (literally – you’ll find Britain’s smallest...
