Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Situated right in Nachalat Binyamin, Caramel Crunch is bang in the action. It’s also located in an eye-catching architectural gem of a building from the early 1900s. Brimming with natural light, it’s one of those places that are great for unwinding at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen is a bit small and not ideal for cooking a feast, but with Carmel Market closeby, there is an abundance of restaurants to choose from.

Home truths

Even though there’s a lift in the building, you still have to climb four steps to reach the front door

The walls could do with a fresh coat of paint to cover up scuff marks

We found some fake plants in this home – this might not be to everyone’s taste

The kitchen is a little small – there’s no dishwasher either

The shower wasn’t made for tall people – it’s only 180cm high

About Kerem Hateimanim

Nestled in between the Carmel Market and the beach, you'll find Kerem Hateimanim, a small neighbourhood founded by Yemeni immigrants in the 1930s. It’s come a long way since then, and today it’s been taken over by bohemian Tel-Avivians looking for affordable housing. Even though Kerem Hateimanim is in the process of being gentrified, the neighbourhood hasn’t lost the authentic, village-like feel that’s beloved by many. There are still plenty of the original Yemenite restaurants around, which are worth a visit, even if you don’t end up staying in this part of the city.
