Next to Plaza del Callao and just a five-minute stroll to Madrid's most famous and central square, Puerta del Sol – this home has a fantastic location. Art lovers will be glad to know that "the walk of art" is under twenty minutes on foot. Here you'll find the Museo del Prado, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Budding horticulturalists, on the other hand, can head to the Royal Botanical Garden, just over a twenty-minute walk away. Back at this apartment, housed in a building dating back to 1880, this newly refurbished home is the ideal Madrid bolthole. Open the French doors to the balcony, relax on the comfy chaise sofa and take the weight off your feet after all that sightseeing. We love the vintage trunk in the living room and the stylish bathroom with its brass tap and ornate mirror. Your lovely host, Sol, provides a breakfast hamper of coffee, tea, herb infusions, milk and pastries too, and there's a juicer here for fresh drinks. This place is perfect for a couple, family or business professional looking for a well-located home.

About Puerta del Sol
Puerta del Sol is the epicentre of the city and home to Madrid’s most famous meeting point – ‘Oso y El Madroño’, the bear with the strawberry tree. The central square of this neighbourhood is quite literally where all the roads in the Iberian peninsula lead to, which means it’s really hard to get lost if this is where you want to go. This area is popular both day and night, with buskers, natives, and tourists snapping photos of some of Madrid’s most iconic sights.

Host
This home is managed by Sol
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Sol started hosting a few years ago as a hobby, and liked it so much that she quickly turned it into a full-time job. She has some great stories about various guests over the years, and also knows Madrid very well, so don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation or two.
