From its courtyard adorned in perfumed bougainvillea to its dark wood accents and terracotta tiled floors, this charming apartment has a rustic, homely feel. The clever layout with a mezzanine level bedroom ensures there’s enough space for two. Get comfy in the hammock on the shared courtyard as the barbecue sizzles away. In the mornings, wake up for some yoga using the mats provided before taking the seaside gear to Banana Beach, only a five-minute walk away. There’s a 24/7 beach bar and volleyball courts to keep you busy in between ocean swims and sunbathing sessions. The vibrant Carmel Market is a four-minute walk in the other direction, where traders sell everything from spices to clothing – visit at the end of the day for huge discounts on produce. In the late afternoons, take a fifteen-minute wander to Neve Tzedek, the trendy stomping ground of the city’s artsy types. Enjoy a glass of wine on an outdoor terrace or hole up for the evening in a one-of-a-kind restaurant.

Local guide
About Kerem Hateimanim
Nestled in between the Carmel Market and the beach, you'll find Kerem Hateimanim, a small neighbourhood founded by Yemeni immigrants in the 1930s. It’s come a long way since then, and today it’s been taken over by bohemian Tel-Avivians looking for affordable housing. Even though Kerem Hateimanim is in the process of being gentrified, the neighbourhood hasn’t lost the authentic, village-like feel that’s beloved by many. There are still plenty of the original Yemenite restaurants around, which are worth a visit, even if you don’t end up staying in this part of the city.
