Fabulously located, and packed with original period character, this apartment is one of our favourites in Barcelona. Granted, the kitchen is not the most inspiring we've ever seen and the second bedroom isn't huge, but - wow - the painted ceilings and tiled floors are just sublime. We love the lofty proportions too. Above & Below has real class.

Having looked at more that 70 apartments in the city, she went for this one because she - quite understandably - fell in love with the beautiful original ceilings. She lives in the same building so unless she's travelling herself, she should be around and nearby if needed.
