Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Asymmetric has a good combination of modern fittings (particularly in the bathroom and kitchen) and historical features, like the ceiling beams. It manages to express a sense of place – there’s something ineffably Roman about it. What really elevates the stay, though, is the level of service you get from Richard. He and his team can help you plan things to do during your trip – very useful given the overwhelming number of things to do and see in Rome.

Home truths
Depending on the time, the check-in might take place in two stages – the first remote, and an in-person welcome the next morning
While there is a lift, it's out of bounds so you'll have to take the stairs to the third floor
The wi-fi wasn't very fast when we measured, and the TV is terrestrial only
There's no washing machine or dishwasher in the kitchen, nor any basic ingredients
Both the bedroom and the bathroom are windowless
There are no bedside tables
Even though there are two sofa beds in the living room, we wouldn't recommend them, as the only bathroom is an en-suite

About Spagna
Spagna is, perhaps unsurprisingly, focussed around the eponymous Piazza di Spagna. Along with the Trevi fountain, it’s one of the most visited sights in the entire city. Things weren’t always so auspicious – in the 16th century, the area was Rome’s red light district, but today it’s better known for the vine-covered romance of Via Margutta, home to Gregory Peck's impoverished journalist in Roman Holiday. This is not the place...

Host
This home is managed by Heather
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Richard and his team run a really impressive operation. They aren’t afraid of incorporating technology into the experience, but while that often leads to a slightly impersonal touch, Richard does a great job of maintaining the human side that is so important to hosting.
