This little place is a really bright flat, and all that natural light goes a long way to providing a positive atmosphere. As soon as you wake up each morning, you can hear the buzz of the city – just calling you out to explore it for yourself. Recently refurbished, and decorated in a modern minimal style, this home may not be huge but it's a comfortable base in one of Lisbon's most vibrant areas – away from the tourists but with plenty going on. Inside, it's all whites, natural wickers and pale woods, and there are statement touches of chipboard to act as quirky decoration. The kitchen area is small but pretty well-equipped considering, but with so many great places to eat nearby, we doubt you'll be cooking at home that often anyway. Here you'll be just a couple of minutes walk from the National Museum of Ancient Art and the Alcântara Marina.
