As you enter this grand building on Edgware Road, look out for one of London’s famous Blue Plaques, a tribute to Austin Rudd – a music hall artiste who lived at this very address back in the late 1800s. With this sort of history, this home is already set up to be a creative space. We love the three-dimensional look of the framed art above the bed, chiming well with the intricately patterned cushions. And on the suitcase stand, you’ll find some great coffee-table books that are perfect for foodies and wine buffs. But you should head out rather than reading these weighty tomes, as this area is made for food lovers. While Lebanese is the top cuisine around here, the road stretches all the way from Maida Vale to Marble Arch, so you’ll find something delicious no matter what your tastes. It’s also an easy walk to the canal, where you can stop for a coffee and visit serene Little Venice in just fifteen minutes. And if the bustling local area ever tires you out, you’ve got Hyde Park about ten minutes away on foot. In this huge green space, you can peacefully walk about or go boating on the Serpentine – absolutely blissful.
