Le Dégustateur is ideally located on the border of the Marais, in a lively boulevard and close to one of our favourite squares, the uber-photogenic Place des Vosges. There are some charming period features but the home feels modern overall, with an organic look that favours natural tones and raw finishes. The bedroom benefits from being adequately tucked at the back and so is surprisingly quiet. With its cosy interiors and state-of-the-art 'frame' TV, it would suit a couple planning to spend some time relaxing at home but also looking to be close to the centre and its sights.

The living room overlooks a busy street so you should expect some noise, particularly with the windows open – the bedroom is tucked at the back so it's a lot quieter
