Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
We're not going to lie – this top floor apartment is a bit of a climb. But once you reach the top, we promise the views of Round Tower and Trinitatis Church are totally worth the effort. With sloped ceilings, exposed wooden beams and original doors, the character of the building isn't lost, and the clean, minimal Nordic design only enhances the charm. We loved relaxing under the eaves, kicking back on the sofa for a Netflix night and rustling up nibbles in the sleek kitchen. Even better is the hotel-quality service, allowing you to have the best of both worlds. The virtual 24/7 concierge can answer any questions, while your hosts are more than happy to arrange reservations at some of Copenhagen's best eateries as well as bike rentals if you want to cycle. And the location? Terrific. It's in the centre of Copenhagen, right down the street from Rosenborg Castle and Kongens Have gardens. Strøget is only a few minutes away – perfect for shopping and dining – and nearby Nørreport station connects you to other parts of the city. But if you're in the mood for street food and fresh produce, Torvehallerne Market is always worth a visit – it's a seven-minute walk away.

Home truths
This is a penthouse on the fifth floor with no elevator – it's roughly eighty steps to reach the door, so prepare for a climb
The host has several near-identical homes in the same building – minor design details might vary depending on which one you stay in
Even though this home sleeps five guests (the last one would be on a sofa bed in the living room), it may feel a little cramped at full capacity – we think it's better for four
There are communal washers and dryers in the basement
The hosts can arrange a cot and plug socket covers for little ones
Watch your head on the sloped ceilings – taller guests may want to look elsewhere
Aside from the TV, there are very few entertainment options – no books, board games or sound system
