It’s an unrivalled location and despite neighbouring a global landmark, the quieter street retains a local charm. Inside, the apartment is wonderfully maintained with thoughtful design. The original character of the property shines – timber beams have been lovingly restored and counterpoint some of the more modern touches. We particularly liked the textured wallpaper above the bed and the matching set of Smeg kitchen appliances. After sipping an espresso and watching the daybreak over the Colosseum from your window, hit the pavements and get a closer look at Rome’s headline acts. The Roman Forum, Arch of Titus and the Via Sacra are all within a ten-minute walk. Plus, museums, piazzas and the iconic Pantheon are a seventeen-minute bus trip or ten-minute taxi ride away.
