Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Located on the top floor of a historic building, this home is tucked behind Chinatown (the oldest in the country) and just a thirteen-minute walk from Parco Sempione, where you can spend some time wandering through the city’s greenery until you arrive at Castello Sforzesco. You’ll be staying in a lively and local area, a quick twelve-minute walk from the nightlife hubs of City Life and Arco della Pace, but for a lowkey night out you’ll be by the neighbourhood’s buzzing restaurants and bars. Inside, you’ll find this small space has been carefully designed – bright skylights overhead, a custom-built kitchenette and an angular breakfast nook are arranged to make the most of the little footprint. Striking red furniture and calming blue walls transform this modest modern home into a bold, personality-packed base. So relax on the sofa, enjoy breakfast at the counter and fall asleep soundly in the bedroom, feeling right at home.

Home truths

The lift only goes up to the penultimate floor, so you'll have to take some stairs to reach the flat (as well as a few stairs at the entrance)

At full occupancy, two guests can be on the sofa bed in the living area (though we think this home is best suited to two guests)

As the building is historic, the interior of the palazzo can be a bit run down in places, though the apartment itself newly redone

The shower is less than six feet high, which may be a tight squeeze for taller guests

The kitchenette is small and best suited to simple meals and snacks

About Chinatown

Milan’s mainly pedestrianised Chinatown is the oldest and biggest Chinese district in Italy. The first settlements date back to the 1920s, when the first Chinese from the Zhejiang region (near Shanghai ) travelled to Milan to work in the silk industry, increasingly expanding their presence throughout the decades. Milan’s Chinatown might not have a typical access arch like the Chinatowns of London or in Paris, but it shares a lot of what those ones have - great food and lanterns galore! It's also an easy walk to the historical centre - only 20 minutes to Brera, for example.

Host

This home is managed by Giuseppe

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nicoletta and Giuseppe are wonderful hosts. They really embody everything that we look for. They have a couple of places in Milan, and move between them (along with their two sons and their dog) depending on whether they have guests at any given moment.

This home is a Plum Guide Award winner.

  • Great hosts, not just great homes – We reject homes managed by hosts who don’t meet our standards of excellence.
