Alpinism is in a beautiful palazzo, right by the imposing Sforzesco castle. Its character largely comes from its solidity – there’s an attention to detail that ensures a certain level of comfort, and while you wouldn’t describe the interiors as particularly bold, they’re soothing and pleasant. The choice of such a small bed in the second bedroom is slightly strange – an extra twenty centimetres feels like an obvious decision – but luckily, both beds are very comfortable.
