Portal doesn’t try to do anything out of the ordinary. Rather, it takes the basics of a good flat and ensures that they are all spot on. The end result is a bright flat, with high ceilings, some original features and decent furniture. The acrylic Kartell chairs contrast nicely with the largely traditional vibe, and while the kitchen could stand to be redone, it’s still functional. Finally, it’s worth mentioning how fantastic the location is. Both Campo de’ Fiori market and Piazza Navona are nearby, and the streets are an excellent example of the city’s medieval architecture.
