There's no shortage of spots to relax outdoors at this white-washed Costa Blanca home. Twisty terraces offer panoramic views of the sea, while the kidney-shaped pool is ideal for afternoon dips. Inside is a little dated – especially the bathrooms – but there's plenty of room to spread out. Although the fourth bedroom doesn't have air conditioning, there's a fan to keep cool on summer nights. It's a great location, too – restaurants, shops, and multiple beaches are within driving distance. Head to El Arenal for sandy shores (7 kilometres away) or visit the picturesque La Granadella if pebbles are more your thing (also 7 kilometres away).

Home truths

    Only three of the bedrooms have air conditioning. The fourth has a fan.

    The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts, particularly the bathrooms.

    There are a lot of steps here, both inside and out. Children should be supervised at all times.

    You'll need a car here, especially if you're keen to explore Costa Blanca. There's covered parking for two cars here.

    It may take a little while for the tap water to get hot.

    You may not find a welcome hamper or basic essentials here, so we'd recommend packing some bits and bobs to get you started. The nearest supermarket is less than 2 kilometres away.
