This is a soulful space for those after a more alternative place to stay when they're visiting the UK's capital. Part of a converted former piano factory, the interior is instantly uplifting thanks to the array of bold modern artwork, statement wallpaper and house plants dotted about. You can tell it's been put together by somebody with an artistic disposition. It's up on the second floor with views from the Juliet balconies over the rooftops of Stoke Newington, a quiet neighbourhood with a great village vibe. If you want to explore, the host has left their Dutch bike and guests are free to borrow it. Alternatively, you can rent her car, which is parked in the on-site car park. Clissold Park is only two minutes' walk up the road and is home to a small deer farm. Likewise, Church Street takes only six minutes to reach on foot and offers cosy restaurants, traditional boozers and vintage shops.

About Stoke Newington
Stoke Newington (or 'Stokey' as it is affectionately called by its residents) is a very popular village-like part of town wedged between Finsbury Park, Islington and Dalston. You'll mainly be rubbing shoulders with young artsy families, who are attracted to the area by its distinctive community atmosphere, period townhouses, and great array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants - we're pretty confident you won't be short of great brunch and coffee stop-offs in this area.

Explore Clissold Park
A beautiful park with historic buildings, a little canal, fountains, and a massive area for picnics or chilling. Enjoy the amazing playground for all ages, visit the animal enclosure with deer and goats, and take a leisurely walk around the scenic lake.

Relax in Newington Green Park
Discover this small but beautiful green space in the heart of London. With clean benches, a nice cafe, and a kid-friendly playground, it's the perfect place to sit back, relax, and escape the busy city traffic.

Dine at Primeur
Experience a casual atmosphere and Michelin Bib Gourmand rated food at this hidden gem. Share a table with friendly patrons and indulge in small plates like cods roe, ox tongue, and rabbit. Don't miss the mussels on toast and curried cauliflower!

Head out for dinner at Perilla
The ingredients may be humble, but the creativity and care that Perilla inject into their dishes makes for a memorable meal. The cuttlefish Bolognese in particular is a surprisingly tasty treat.

Tuck into a Sunday roast at the Londesborough Pub
A very firm favourite among locals, the Londesborough is a near perfect gastropub. Family friendly Sunday roasts are a must, but for a proper pint with the locals, you can’t go wrong.

Go for an experimental brunch at Esters
Championing local produce and top quality coffee, Esters is the place to start your day. They are known for their exciting and experimental brunch dishes – try the crispy duck confit and eggs.
