Located between Maritim Moniz and Intendente, this stylish and sophisticated home is in one of Lisbon's trendiest neighbourhoods. If you want to visit some historic sights, Lisbon Cathedral and São Jorge Castle are both around a twenty-minute walk away. Or it's a mere five-minute walk to Intendente metro station. But the neighbourhood has much more to offer than just the proximity to the sights - this is a multi-cultural area where you're just as likely to find extraordinary Nepalese restaurants as you are Portuguese pastries. Inside this apartment, every room here is a treat to spend time in, but if we had to choose a favourite, we'd go for the rustic kitchen with its huge, sturdy wooden beams and butcher's block table. There’s even views over towards São Jorge Castle. Open the French doors onto the balcony in the morning and enjoy your first coffee of the day, or relax in the plant-filled garden room, flooded with light. This home is a dream.

About Intendente

The Mayor of Lisbon moved his office into Intendente in 2012, giving it the infusion of funds needed to rebuild and elevate this often forgotten part of town. Only a decade ago, Intendente was in bad shape, but the revitalising initiatives have created an unexpected consequence – an incredible culinary scene, where everything goes. There are still some rough edges, but most of the previously abandoned buildings now home indie record stores, craft fairs, and art galleries. We suggest you start your trip in Largo Café, the artsy meeting point for locals and visitors.
