Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight (and ten, at a stretch) in the Jewish Quarter isn’t as straightforward as you might think. Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight and has a view as good as Teatro’s is even harder. It looks down onto the Largo di Torre Argentina, which holds the ruins of four temples and Pompey’s Theatre. It’s a fantastic spot, and Teatro makes the most of it, with a simple design intended to not interfere.

Home truths

Even though this in a restricted-traffic zone, it's very busy outside and you can expect some noise

While as many as ten people can stay here, there are only two bathrooms (as well as a separate toilet)

As is quite common in Italian homes, the washing machine is on a balcony outside

Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room
