For somewhere that can feasibly be described as a studio, Sterling Penny is huge. In reality, studio might be a stretch, as both the kitchen and the bedroom have some separation from the living space, even if it isn’t a full wall. Anyway, the photos do the place justice, so we won’t spend too long describing it, but suffice to say it’s a stunner. We couldn’t find a single mark on the walls when we visited. It’s also a treat to get to stay in such a good location, with so many good restaurants and bars nearby.

Chiado is full of old-world charm, and is one of the best-loved parts of Lisbon. Think pastel-hued homes, cobbled streets and plenty of squares to soak up the atmosphere.
