Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

It should come as no surprise that your host, Matteo, is an interior designer. He’s transformed this loft-style apartment into a trendy yet comfortable space that’s a pleasure to chill out in and come home to. A strong monochromatic theme is interjected with deep purple, leafy green and a collection of curiosities to keep things interesting. Find the comfiest spot on the sink-in sofas and relax with a Campari and tonic in hand as dinner cooks away in the kitted out kitchenette. For evenings when you’d prefer to hang up your chef’s apron, authentic restaurants line the canal in nearby Navigli – you’ll get there in five minutes by foot. To see Milan’s best bits, catch the 13 tram to Duomo. Once you arrive, the iconic cathedral, luxurious Quadrilatero della Moda and trendy Brera neighbourhood are all within a ten-minute walking radius.

Home truths

Matteo would prefer not to have children under six staying here, as the stairs could be dangerous

The ceiling on the mezzanine is 197cm high – fine for pretty much everyone, but not full height

Parking can be arranged for €15 per day – contact your host for more information

While this is a ground floor home, there are five steps to reach the entrance

Guests four and five would sleep on a sofa bed – to ensure the comfort of each guest, we recommend staying as a group of four maximum

About Bocconi

Bocconi is an area in the South of Milan (still only a 25 minute walk to the spiky spires of the Duomo) that is probably most famous for being home to Bocconi University, one of the best universities in Italy. It's not the buzziest part of town but it's just a short walk either into the centre or to the neighbouring, and charming Navigli canal area, which is lined with restaurants and bars.
