This 250-year-old rural villa is tucked away in Mallorca's lush countryside. The remote surroundings mean you'll have plenty of privacy, but it comes with one downside – the nearest town, restaurant, and beach are only reachable by car. But, seeing as there's private parking here, that shouldn’t be a problem. Besides, the outdoor terraces and private pool are perfect for relaxing in the sunshine, and with a bundle of bedrooms, space won’t be an issue. This is a charmingly old home, so expect some wear and tear inside and out. That said, if traditional character and seclusion are what you're after, this could fit the bill nicely.

Home truths

Most of the bedrooms here are on the ground floor. The single bed is small, so it's better for children.

As there are only three bathrooms – two of which are en-suite – we think eleven guests will be a squeeze. We suggest a smaller number to make sharing easier.

The kitchen is traditional in style and not the largest. However, there's also a barbecue outside, ideal for alfresco dining.

The decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts, and the outdoor terraces could do with a touch-up. It's an old home, so expect wear and tear.

Due to this home's location, we highly recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's free parking on the driveway.

A collection of picturesque windmills bring many tourists into the area, with a well-trodden route taking in the best preserved. On the northeast coast, you'll find pretty beaches, including...
