Perfectly positioned on Sicily's western coast, this home makes the most of its lovely location. Not only is there a beach just 300 metres away, but popular spots like Marsala's salt pans, Trapani, Erice and Mazara del Vallo are easily reached by car. While this single-level home lacks some character, we think it'll suit families wanting a fuss-free getaway – especially as there are two sofa beds in the living room ideal for children. We're big fans of the private pool (who wouldn't be?) and the small terrace has nice views, even if you're a bit close to the neighbours.

Home truths
At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on sofa beds in the living area. We think these are best for children. Your host also provides a free cot and high chair if you're travelling with little ones.
The pool is only available to use between 24th April and 30th October. It's unfenced, so kids must be supervised at all times.
The patio is a little overlooked by neighbours. It may not suit guests wanting complete privacy.
This home was purpose-built for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space.
We suggest hiring a car in this location, especially if you're keen to explore Sicily. There's private parking available.
