This minimal pad is located in the vibrant Lavapiés neighbourhood and offers an ideal stay on the doorstep of the Plaza Mayor and Reina Sofía Museum. The apartment itself is modern, though the kitchen needs a refresh – that said, some of Madrid’s most eclectic restaurants are right on your doorstep. With space for six guests, two of which will be on the living room sofa bed, it'll do nicely as a city base – all the sights are within easy reach, and Lavapiés metro is just a short walk away.

Purpose-built for rentals, this home is not the most soulful or charming space. We think some areas of this home could do with a refresh. In particular, the kitchen looks a little tired.
This home is located within an apartment building, with a shared entrance. Expect to bump into other guests during your stay. You may need to climb some stairs to reach this apartment.
Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay.
Though you won't be able to sit out on the Juliet balcony, it's a nice spot for a glass of wine.
